The Alabama Prospective Teacher Testing Program (APTTP) consists of two required tests: The Basic Skills Assessments administered by ACT and the PRAXIS II Content Knowledge Test administered by ETS. Alabama Colleges requires students to pass the Basic Skills Assessment prior to acceptance into the Teacher Education Program. You must pass your PRAXIS II Content Test prior to doing your Clinical Practice Internship.
The PRAXIS I is not necessary for entrance into an education program in the state of Alabama. Required Test Information can be found on-line at this website:
