The Praxis 1 Test is required by the State of New Hampshire for ALL initial teacher licensure. The State of New Hampshire uses the Praxis i as the means of measuring adequate basic academic skills.
The Praxis 1 Test can be taken once a month up to 6 times in one year, a cancelled score counts as one of the 6.

A composite Score of Reading 172, Writing 170, Mathematics 170 is acceptable as long as the total number of points is at least 518. New Hampshire does occasionally allow other equivalent tests to take the place of the Praxis 1, to do this you must contact the Burequ of Credentialing in the State of New Hampshire at (603)271-2408.

Scores are automatically received at the New Hampshire Department of Education when the Praxis 1 Examination is taken in the State of New Hampshire. If you are not going to take the test in the State of New Hampshire, but you would like your scores sent to New Hampshire Department of Education, list 7660 in the recipient code section upon registration for the PRAXIS i test.
