The Praxis 1 is mandated in the State of North Dakota by all initial teacher licensure applicants. All applicants must submit scores from the Pre-Professional-Skills-Test (PPST) in Reading, Writing and Mathematics.
You must provide a Social Security Number (SSN) for the processing of your Praxis 1 scores and application in the State of North Dakota.
The North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board needs the original score sheet from the Educational Testing Center (ETS) or a college recommendation, and the originals will be returned to you.
There are two types of tests, the Paper-Based (PPST) and the Computer-Based (CPPST). Individuals must meet or exceed the qualifying scores listed below for the Praxis 1 Examination.
For Paper-Based PPST or Praxis i:
0710 PPST Reading 173
0720 PPST Writing 173
0730 PPST Mathematics 170
For Computer-Based CPPST or Praxis I:
5710 CPPST Reading 173
5720 CPPST Writing 173
5730 CPPST Mathematics 170
Or a Composite Score of 516 with a passing score on 2 of the 3 tests.
