The State of Wisconsin requires all students to take the PRAXIS I Pre-Professional-Skills-Test (PPST) before entering a (licensure) program at Wisconsin universities, colleges or any alternative programs for professional teacher education. This test shows a basic skills competency, to help the State of Wisconsin to have a quality teaching force.
If you have completed any professional educator preparation program out of state, after August 31, 1992, and are applying for licensure in the state of Wisconsin, you are required to submit passing praxis I scores.
The Praxis I test is offered both in Paper-Based (PPST) format and Computer-Based (CPPST) format.
For Paper-Based or Written Praxis I or 1 (PPST) codes and required scores refer to the following:
0710 PPST Reading 175
0720 PPST Writing 174
0730 PPST Mathematics 173
(NO Calculators)
For Computer-Based Praxis 1 (CPPST) codes and required scores refer to the following:

The Computer-Based PPST is offered by appointment through Prometric Testing Centers (www.prometric.com), or Sylvan Learning Centers and select institutional sites.
